Overview

The Black Box AVS-CBL-VG-CM is a VGA to component adapter cable designed to connect devices with VGA output to displays or equipment that accept analog component video signals via YPbPr inputs. With a length of 40 cm (15.7 inches), it offers a compact and tidy solution for linking older computers, media players, or other VGA sources to component video displays without the need for complex converters or power supplies. This cable supports passive VGA to component conversion, making it a practical choice for compatible setups.

Key features
  • Converts VGA output to YPbPr component video input, enabling compatibility between VGA sources and component displays
  • Compact 40 cm length helps maintain a neat and organized setup without excess cable clutter

Connectivity and compatibility

This adapter cable is designed for devices that support passive VGA to component video conversion. It connects a VGA output source, such as older computers or media players, to displays or equipment with YPbPr component video inputs. Because it relies on passive signal conversion, it is important to verify that your VGA source supports this type of output to ensure proper video transmission.

Ideal uses and environments

The Black Box AVS-CBL-VG-CM fits well in setups where space is limited and a short, reliable cable is needed to connect VGA sources to component video displays. It is suitable for home entertainment systems, classrooms, or professional environments where legacy VGA devices must interface with component video equipment. Its temperature tolerance and lightweight design also make it a good option for portable or temporary installations.

Product warranty

We act solely as a reseller. Any product warranty is provided and administered by the manufacturer, not by our store. That means eligibility, coverage, and outcomes are determined by the manufacturer’s policy for each brand and model. Before purchasing, we recommend reviewing the warranty terms on the manufacturer’s website or in the product documentation to confirm what is covered and for how long.

If you need warranty service, please file the claim directly with the manufacturer. They may require proof of purchase, the product serial number, original packaging, photos, or basic troubleshooting. Some brands ask you to register the product or obtain a case number before shipping it for repair or replacement. We don’t submit or approve claims, but we can point you to the correct support links and contact details.

Keep your invoice and packaging in a safe place, and report any functional issues to the manufacturer as soon as they appear. If you’re unsure whether a problem is covered, the manufacturer’s support team can confirm next steps and timelines. While we cannot intervene in decisions or outcomes, we’re happy to provide purchase documentation or guidance so you can move through the warranty process smoothly.
