The Evoluent VMDS is a mouse with a wired connection and a vertical orientation, created for right-handed users who prefer a design that puts comfort first. Instead of forcing your forearm to twist flat on the desk, it supports your hand in a neutral handshake posture, which can ease tension in the wrist and forearm during long work sessions.

Six buttons can be programmed through Evoluent software on Windows or with third-party tools on macOS, letting you set up time-saving shortcuts for spreadsheets, design applications, or everyday browsing. Thumb controls sit in a natural spot, so you can move backward and forward on web pages or switch applications without repositioning your hand.

An onboard switch lets you cycle through four pointer speeds, and the colored LEDs beside your index finger confirm which setting is active at a glance. Whether you need slow, pixel-level precision for graphics work or a faster sweep for multiple monitors, the laser sensor tracks smoothly across most desk surfaces.

The shape is scaled for hands that measure under seven inches from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger. An extended lip along the bottom edge keeps your little finger from scraping the desk, and the finish in dark silver blends neatly with modern office gear. A 6.9-foot USB-A cable offers enough slack to reach under-desk towers or docking stations.

Setup is simple: plug into Windows 7 or later and install the Evoluent driver to unlock full button customization, or connect to macOS 10.5 through 10.14 for basic functionality. Users on macOS 10.15 and newer can program buttons with readily available third-party software.
