The Fractal Design FD-C-DEF7M-01 is a mini tower PC case that gives builders generous working room without taking over the desk. It accepts Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and Mini-DTX motherboards, making it a smart fit for a gaming rig, a home workstation, or a quiet living-room media center.
Inside, you can install a graphics card up to 13 inches long and a tower cooler up to 6.6 inches tall, so high-end components slide in with no hassle. Two fans arrive pre-installed—a 140 mm unit at the front and a 120 mm unit at the rear—and the layout still leaves space for five more 120 mm fans or two additional 140 mm fans when additional airflow is needed. Water cooling is equally straightforward, with mounts for a 280 mm radiator at the front and a 240 mm radiator at the top.
The top panel can be swapped in seconds between a solid cover that dampens noise and a ventilated insert that lets heat escape freely. Full-length dust filters on the front, top, and bottom slide out for quick cleaning, keeping components running cooler and looking cleaner over time.
Cable management is simple thanks to one inch of clearance behind the motherboard tray, anchored tie-down points, and a removable top bracket that opens the case for stress-free building. Storage needs are handled by two universal trays that fit either 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch drives and two dedicated 2.5 inch brackets, while an ATX power supply up to 7.9 inches long can be installed when the drive cage is removed.
The front I/O panel serves everyday convenience with a USB-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and separate headphone and microphone jacks, so you can connect modern peripherals and legacy devices without reaching behind the case.
