The underlying OM3 50/125 laser optimized fiber is rated for 40GBASE-SR4 links up to 300 meters, so this shorter run keeps plenty of performance headroom.

One end terminates with a male MTP/MPO connector while the other carries a female MTP/MPO receptacle, each containing 12 individual fibers in a single ferrule. This arrangement provides roughly twelve times the density of a traditional SC connector and reduces congestion in high-port-count areas. A built-in push/pull tab lets you seat or release the connector even when surrounding ports are fully populated.
