Overview

The Cisco ATA 192 2-Port Analog Telephone to Ethernet Adapter is designed to connect up to two standard analog telephones, fax machines, or paging devices to an IP network. It enables small businesses and remote workers to maintain their existing analog equipment while transitioning to modern VoIP services. With two FXS ports that can register independently with SIP providers, it supports separate phone numbers or extensions, making it practical for setups requiring distinct voice lines such as a dedicated fax or business and home calls.

Key features
  • Two FXS ports allow independent SIP registration for flexible voice line management.
  • Dual 100BASE-T Ethernet ports include an integrated router to prioritize voice traffic and maintain call clarity during heavy data use.
  • Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols to ensure compatibility with current and future network environments.
  • Compatible with common voice codecs G.711, G.729, and G.726 for broad interoperability with hosted VoIP and on-premises communication platforms.
  • Low power consumption of just 5 watts helps reduce energy costs and heat output.
  • Compact design measuring 3.9 inches square and 1.1 inches high fits easily on desks, in network closets, or behind counters without taking up much space.
  • Simple web-based configuration and standard RJ11 phone jacks make setup straightforward and user-friendly.

Connectivity and compatibility

This adapter connects legacy analog devices to modern IP networks without requiring new wiring. The two Ethernet ports allow one connection to your broadband router or switch and a second connection to a computer or other network device, maintaining network flexibility. Its support for multiple codecs and IP protocols ensures it works seamlessly with a wide range of VoIP service providers and unified communication systems.

Ideal uses and environments

The Cisco ATA 192 is well suited for small offices, branch locations, healthcare clinics, and remote work environments where existing analog phones and fax machines need to be integrated into an IP telephony system. It offers a cost-effective way to upgrade voice infrastructure without replacing all analog equipment, making it a practical choice for businesses managing mixed legacy and modern communication setups.

Product warranty

We act solely as a reseller. Any product warranty is provided and administered by the manufacturer, not by our store. That means eligibility, coverage, and outcomes are determined by the manufacturer’s policy for each brand and model. Before purchasing, we recommend reviewing the warranty terms on the manufacturer’s website or in the product documentation to confirm what is covered and for how long.

If you need warranty service, please file the claim directly with the manufacturer. They may require proof of purchase, the product serial number, original packaging, photos, or basic troubleshooting. Some brands ask you to register the product or obtain a case number before shipping it for repair or replacement. We don’t submit or approve claims, but we can point you to the correct support links and contact details.

Keep your invoice and packaging in a safe place, and report any functional issues to the manufacturer as soon as they appear. If you’re unsure whether a problem is covered, the manufacturer’s support team can confirm next steps and timelines. While we cannot intervene in decisions or outcomes, we’re happy to provide purchase documentation or guidance so you can move through the warranty process smoothly.
