Shure

In 1925, Sidney N. Shure founded The Shure Radio Company in Chicago, Illinois, initially selling radio parts kits. As the radio market evolved, the company began manufacturing microphones, introducing the Model 33N in 1932. In 1939, Shure released the Unidyne Model 55, the first single-element unidirectional dynamic microphone, which became an industry standard. During World War II, Shure supplied microphones and headphones to the U.S. military, adhering to strict quality standards. In 1953, the company introduced the Vagabond, the world's first wireless microphone system. The SM58, launched in 1966, became one of the most popular microphones in history. Over the years, Shure expanded its product line to include phonograph cartridges, mixers, and digital signal processing equipment. Today, Shure is a global leader in audio electronics, offering a wide range of products for both consumers and professionals.
