In 1918, 23-year-old Konosuke Matsushita founded Matsushita Electric Housewares Manufacturing Works in Osaka, Japan, starting with a small team that included his wife and brother-in-law. In 1927, they introduced a battery-powered bicycle lamp under the brand name "National," marking their entry into the consumer electronics market. Over the following decades, Panasonic diversified its offerings to include a wide range of electronics and appliances, becoming a global leader in technology. In 2008, the company unified its global brand under the Panasonic name, reflecting its commitment to providing "A Better Life, A Better World."
