Lexar

In 1996, Lexar was founded in San Jose, California, by John Reimer, Mike Liccardo, Paul Wenz, and Petro Estakhri. The company began as a division of Cirrus Logic, focusing on digital media products like SD cards, CompactFlash cards, and USB flash drives. In 2006, Lexar was acquired by Micron Technology and merged with Crucial Technology under the name Lexar Media. In 2017, Shenzhen Longsys Electronics Co., Ltd., a Chinese flash memory company, acquired the Lexar brand from Micron, with the goal to continue and expand Lexar's legacy in the storage solutions market. Today, Lexar offers a wide range of memory and storage products, including memory cards, USB flash drives, readers, and solid-state drives, serving both retail and OEM customers worldwide.
