ARRIS

In 1995, Arris International was founded as a joint venture between Nortel Networks and Antec Corporation, focused on developing telecommunications equipment. Starting as Arris Interactive, the company created data, video, and telephony systems for homes and businesses. In 2001, after Antec bought out Nortel's share, the company rebranded as Arris Inc. and set up its headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia. Arris grew rapidly by acquiring other companies, including Cadant Inc. in 2002 and the Home division of Motorola Mobility from Google in 2013. These moves helped Arris become a key player in broadband and video technology. In 2019, CommScope acquired Arris for $7.4 billion, bringing Arris’s innovative products under its brand. Today, Arris’s legacy continues through CommScope, supporting high-speed data and video services around the world.
